Jeanne Huffty has been making jewelry professionally since 1986. She has been beading since she was just a kid, and has certified with the Gemological institute of America (GIA). Looking to improve her skills, Jeanne took silversmithing classes in 1988 and has continued to refine and hone her work ever since. She is self taught in metal etching, precious metal clay, wire wrapping, use of Plexiglas and faux bone. Thousands of one of a kind pieces have been produced and sold. Her work has been shown in galleries and boutiques all over the western U.S. Her style incorporates the use of semiprecious stone, found objects , assorted metals and unique materials. Jeanne owned and operated her own jewelry and bead store for 4 years which closed in 2007. She now works out of her home in Grantsville, Utah where the howl of the coyotes early in the morning are an inspiration. Her jewelry is also available at Datura Gallery in Ivins, Utah, Green Valley Spa in St George, Utah Boise art museum in Boise, Idaho and Dancing Coyote in Depot Bay, Oregon.
